This Privacy Policy explains how the National Minerals Agency ("NMA", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the official Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 mobile application (the "App") and related services.
The Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 App is the official event application for Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026, held 19โ23 May 2026 at the Freetown International Conference Centre, Aberdeen, Freetown, Sierra Leone. The event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources and the National Minerals Agency.
By downloading, installing, or using the Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

With event organisers and partners
Your information may be shared with the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources as joint event organiser, and, only where you have opted in, with sponsors and exhibitors whose materials or sessions you engage with.
With other attendees
If you enable networking features, your name, organisation, job title, and profile photo may be visible to other registered Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 attendees. You can adjust visibility in the App settings.
With service providers
We share information with trusted third parties who help us operate the App, including:
- Eventify โ our App technology provider, which hosts and delivers the App
- Cloud hosting, analytics, push notification, and email service providers
- Customer support tools
These providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
For legal reasons
We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or government request, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of NMA, attendees, or the public.
In connection with mergers or restructuring
If NMA's functions are transferred to another government body, your information may be transferred as part of that process.
7. International Data Transfers
The Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 App is used by attendees from over 30 countries, and our service providers may host data outside Sierra Leone. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take appropriate steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy, including:
- Active delegate accounts: for the duration of Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 and up to 24 months thereafter for follow-up, reporting, and future event invitations
- Networking content and messages: up to 12 months after the event
- Analytics and aggregated data: indefinitely in anonymised form
- Records required for legal, accounting, or regulatory compliance: for the period required by law

The Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 App is intended for professional adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Push Notifications
The App may send push notifications about programme changes, networking opportunities, and event-critical alerts. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
13. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites, sponsor pages, or social media platforms. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before sharing any information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy and, where the changes are material, notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
